Erie PA Wedding and lifestyle photographer.

Hi There!!!! This little FAQ’s page is for my brides or potential brides to hopefully help to answer some questions that you might have or answer some questions you may not have even thought of! I have been a photographer for almost 20 years and I need to remember that even though I have been to around 500 weddings this isn’t something that YOU are NOT used to doing every weekend. Obviously my #1 goal is to provide you with AMAZING photos but I also keep your flow going. The more organized we are the less stressful it is for you and I WANT YOU TO ENJOY YOUR DAY!

When you are ready here is a google form to fill out for your big day! I will then take your information and make a timeline so that we are all on the same page and everyone knows what to expect :) I usually don’t send that until the date gets a little closer. If you really need it sooner, just email me and I will get it on my to-do list quicker.

  • I usually arrive 90 minutes prior to your ceremony. However, I will come earlier if you are doing a first look. This is all tailored to your specific day but 90 minutes is usually the time.

  • This is a great option for those of you have your ceremony and reception all at the same place. It not only allows for you to have a special private moment, it also allows us to get all of your bridal party photos taken care of prior to the wedding so that you only have to do family photos after the ceremony so that you can get right to your reception. Of course, it’s not for everyone but it is something to consider :)

  • Heck yes I can! But this little formula might help:

    Family Photos= 30 minutes

Bridal Party and Couple at ceremony location = 15 minutes

Travel time to “In between” location

Entire Wedding Party = 15 minutes

Bride and Groom = 15 minutes (I take you out later on for “golden hour” photos for more photos.

    Travel time from “In Betweens”

10 minutes to “freshen up” upon arriving to reception

This should help but if you need let me know! I love making timelines. I know, weird.

  • This is not necessary unless it’s something VERY specific but after 20 years my brain is programmed to photograph EVERY shot that is necessary to tell the story of your day. In my google form that I send there is an option to send me up to 10 “Inspiration” photos. I will be glad to make them happen for you! (I can’t do more than that because I have brain full of my own as well)

  • This is also not necessary unless there is something out of the norm that you would like and this is something that you can bring to my attention the day of the wedding. For example, God parents or my bride and groom this weekend requested photos with the flower girl’s family.

  • Ok, so I look at your family in 4 quarters: Bride’s maternal side, Bride’s Paternal side and same for groom. We start with whichever side is biggest or I will try to start with the side that maybe has a grandparent that might be having a hard time getting around. We go big then go down. So I will say OK BRIDE’S MOTHER’S FAMILY “MARTIN FAMILY COME ON DOWN” if you decide to do aunts, uncles and cousins etc.. We will do big group photos. Then excuse Uncles, Aunts and Cousins and then focus on grandparents on that side and take photos of Bride and Groom with Grandparents, Just the Bride with Grandparents and sometimes brides would like a photo of their immediate family with grandparents etc…We go through each side like that until we are left with immediate family. Where we will photograph bride and groom with parents, siblings, spouses and their children. Then bride and groom with parents. Then just bride with each parent and each sibling and then a siblings photo together. Whew……see you don’t need to take up headspace with all of that info. I got it.

  • Fear not! I know this can be a stressful time for some families. I think it might be THE most stressful for some couples but please know i am very sensitive to this. In your google form I will ask you have any special dynamics that I need to know about and that is where you can share with me if your parents are divorced or if there is someone you just would rather not have in your photos. I can do that too. Want someone’s butt to look bigger? Maybe add a hairy mole? Say less. JK JK

  • Tell each and every person that you want to be in your family photos to stay back for photos. It can be like corralling cats and quite honestly i see more stress in the bride and groom during this time than any other part of the day but trust me that it’s normal and we will work through it. You really just need to mutter the family names to me and my assistant and I will do the rest. You two can just stand there and look pretty. Also, assign someone on each side of your family to be the ones to corral family members. It can’t be you two or your parents. A loud cousin is effective for this. I can’t have you two wandering off to look for people because I make use of every minute and we can move on to another set if we are waiting for others.

  • Yes! We just need to be realistic about our timeline. If you need help with this let me know!

  • Absolutely! Just let me know!!

  • Girl. I know that seems great. But in reality a lot of the “editorial” looking photos are at least prompted or posed by the photographer in some kind of way. Of course I will be taking candid photos all day, especially of “reactions” and special moments but you can’t get through your wedding with just “Candids” or “Editorial Style”.

  • If it’s possible we would like to sit by ourselves. After you hear my yapper through family photos and your bridal party photos you will understand why we could use some quiet time. It really does help to recharge for a few minutes so we are ready to document the rest of your night! But, I do understand that some venues don’t have that option so it’s cool if you put as with your guests. :)

  • I prefer to keep ALL correspondences via email. I photograph about 25 weddings each year and I am often talking with multiple brides at once for their weddings the following year and I will be honest it’s hard to keep everything straight! But I LOVE to be able to go through all of our correspondences to review every single thing we discussed so I can show up at your wedding with all of the info I need.

  • My goal is to have all of your photos to you by your 1 month anniversary but I give you a 40 photo sneak peek on facebook 1-3 days after your wedding. I am excited to see your photos and I know you are, too!

  • No worries! I can send you a private gallery! Just let me know!

  • Unfortunately, I do not offer more than 8 hours.

  • So, this is how I do receptions: of course we photograph all of your special events etc.. then we photograph the fun dancing. Then at a certain point we realize we are photographing the same people over and over and over and over again so then we will come and find you guys and ask if there are any group photos that you would like. This is a good time to get a high school friends, work or college pal photo. Then we will end our coverage in that timeframe. I say that my coverage lasts up to 8 hours but if I feel like I didn’t get enough dancing etc to tell the whole story of your day i don’t mind staying over a little extra and likewise it might not take us the whole 8 hours.

  • HECK YA! I love this. There are a few ways to accomplish this. My FAVORITE ONE is called the “Photo Dash” or “The Ballroom Blitz” You have your DJ play a song and you two and I run around the dance floor taking a photo with each table and the goal is to finish the photos by the time the song ends. THIS IS SOOO FUN and people love it. So it’s a chance to get a pic with everyone and also it’s an event that everyone enjoys.

  • Yes I do! Here’s how I do it? I edit and post my favorite 40 from your wedding the week after your wedding. Then I go through and choose all of the “best” photos from your day and edit all of those in color. But then I am a weirdo and wonder if there are photos in the unedited folder that might be gems that i missed so then I go through and convert them all to black and white, then i choose the best of the best from them and include them in your final gallery.

  • No problem! I can send you the color version! Here’s the thing though: there already might be a copy that is pretty much identical to the black and white. I cannot convert ALL of the photos that I included in black and white but would be glad to convert some. *See next question

  • ABSOLUTELY!!

There are some things that I cannot do: I cannot remove exit signs in all of the photos but i certainly can in some. I can also edit out videographers who were asked to move who didn’t in some photos but not in every single one. I can edit out tan lines, tattoos, glass glare etc…you get the picture. But again…not in every single one! I can do up to 25 edits for free!! So just send me the picture numbers of the photos that are most important to you and I will make it happen! I WILL HOWEVER MAKE SURE TO EDIT MY ASSISTANT OUT AND ALSO MY EQUIPMENT IF IT IS IN A SHOT that is not included in your up to 25 :)

  • PLEASE DO!!

  • Think of me as your cool aunt (or who thinks she is) with a camera—minus the unsolicited life advice, but with the ability to wrangle a bridal party like a boss and keep things rolling without stress. I bring nearly two decades of experience, a sixth sense for when to step in or give you space, and enough dad jokes to keep even the flower girl entertained.

I’m efficient (you’ll get the shots you didn’t even know you needed), fun (you might forget we’re “working”), and focused on making everyone feel like their best selves.
Will I be slow to reply to an email or two? Probably and I am sorry about that.
Will I show up ready to make magic, make you laugh, and make sure you feel amazing? YESSS

  • I am working on this! I am trying to set up Klarna and “Pay in 4” type of things.

  • I do offer discounts on Fridays, Sundays and off season dates. (November-April) The discount depends on the logisitics of your day :)

  • I am both fascinated and a little afraid of AI to tell you the truth! Sometimes I will use it to extend a backdrop or remove unwanted items in your photo but I don’t want to get too ridiculous with it like put you in Hawaii or on Mars or something.
